Uralla Thunderbolts Festival

Thunderbolts Festival is a captivating annual event first staged in 1998, and having undergone many changes over time, unites the community in a spirited celebration honouring the legacy of the legendary bushranger Captain Thunderbolt.

Held on Saturday of the last full weekend in October, the festival commences with the street parade at 10:30am and activities in Alma Park 11am-3pm. Medieval combat re-enactment, live music by the Chilli Jam and Friends, rock climb wall, inflatable giant dual slide & jumping castles (all for just $2!), markets, face painting, photo booth, hula hoop competition and New England Antique Machinery Display. There may be surprise visit by Hemlock or another circus performer! Onsite we have the Alternate Root coffee van, food by local schools, Friends of McMaughs and Lions fairy floss.

The Uralla Arts Lantern Parade leaves the Showground at 7:30pm, will travel down King St to Hampden Park and returning to the Showground. Promises to be a magical end to a huge day!
